Most of our time we spent watching movies or TV series. In one of them, we have always seen a great proposal or engagement ring that has caught our eye. If you have on your mind one of these engagement rings, trust me, you are not alone.

BLUE JASMINE

This diamond ring worn by Cate Blanchett’s character, Jasmine, who is an Upper East Side socialite, was from Fred Leighton in New York. The ring was worth so much money that Blanchett was required to have an armed bodyguard on set.

LEGALLY BLONDE 2: RED, WHITE AND BLONDE

This ring was made for Elle Woods. The oval-shaped pink diamond with two sided-stone really caught the eye of those who have watched the movie. Reese Witherspoon had her mark on its design as well.

SWEET HOME ALABAMA

There are no doubts that Sweet Home Alabama is at the top of many people’s lists for iconic movie proposals. Andrew (Patrick Dempsey) proposes to Melanie (Reese Witherspoon) at the Tiffany & Co. showroom floor in New York by telling her to "pick one". She goes for a round brilliant solitaire diamond ring with a classic Tiffany’s setting. This perfect proposal scene was from director Andy Tennant's own life. His wife’s former boyfriend had asked her in a similar way at a Tiffany’s store, saying that it was "the perfect proposal, but the wrong guy."

THE GREAT GATSBY

Daisy Buchanan (Carey Mulligan) wears a Tiffany & Co. cushion-cut halo engagement ring in platinum that was valued at $3.9 million. Daisy paired it with a matching French-set wedding band, which helped to magnify the sparkle. Daisy’s ring for the time period would be considered modern due to its Art Deco-inspired geometric angles.

THE NOTEBOOK

Despite our tears and screams for Allie and Noah to get back together. She says yes to marrying her boyfriend, Lon, after he shows her an emerald-cut diamond ring flanked with banquettes. The huge ring was placed inside a sterling silver box, which was normal during the twenties when you purchased rings from luxury jewelers.

SEX AND THE CITY 2

Carrie Bradshaw’s black diamond ring was for real non-traditional in every sense of the world, making the way for engagement rings a little left of center. When Mr. Big hands the ring to Carrie, she asks, "Why black?" and Mr. Big replies, "Because you are not like anyone else." Set in 18-karat white gold and surrounded by 80 pave diamonds, jewelry designer Itay Malkin worked closely with Jessica Parker and costume designer Patricia Field to create the ring.

BRIDE WARS

Not long after her best friend’s proposal and discovering a Tiffany box in her apartment, a really impatient Liv (Kate Hudson) storms into Daniel’s (Steve Howey) office to ask if he will hurry up and marry her. His response was: "I’ve never met a more obnoxious, complicated, overbearing, smart, sexy woman in my life," before asking the question with the 5-carat Tiffany Novo cushion cut engagement ring there in the middle of his office.

CRAZY RICH ASIANS

This brilliant emerald ring is really breathtaking. It symbolized Nick’s mother's approval of his engagement to Rachel, as she gifted it to him for the proposal on Crazy Rich Asians. An even more interesting fact is that the ring was actually from Michelle Yeoh’s personal jewelry collection and has been valued at over $1 million.
